Building a Global Career One Country at a Time
Just five years after graduating with an International Business degree, Elia Law has already charted an impressive global career path. It began at UT Austin, where she first realized her calling. She recalls Prof. Linda Gerber saying that the International Business major was perfect for someone with “a business mind and Liberal Arts heart”, and she credits the Center for Global Business with igniting her international ambitions.
Armed with comprehensive training in organizational behavior, international trade, and business operations, Law left the U.S. to launch her career in Lisbon, Portugal. There, she joined Uniplaces, a pioneering student housing startup, before advancing to Wunderman Thompson MAP, where she worked as a salesforce email marketing specialist and also gained experience as an administrative coordinator.
In 2021, Law embraced a new challenge, relocating to Nantes, France, where her adaptability and cultural intelligence served her well. Today, while pursuing a master’s in International Business, she serves as an Assistant Sales Coordinator at Ecolive, managing international client relationships in multiple languages.
Law attributes her rapid ascent from recent graduate to global professional to her strong academic foundation combined with cultural agility and professional drive. We’re proud to congratulate her on her success!
