Center for Global Business Welcomes Juan Carlos Sosa to Board of Advisors
We’re delighted to announce that distinguished UT alumnus Juan Carlos Sosa has joined our board of advisors, adding expertise in global business and depth in Latin America to this group of international business leaders.
Juan Carlos’ extensive international career includes high-level positions in business and government. In addition to leading successful initiatives in diverse private sector industries including franchising and technology, he served as Panamanian Consul General in Antwerp, Belgium, where he negotiated trade agreements and attracted foreign investment to Panama and Panamanian Vice Minister of Foreign Trade.
Sosa holds a BS in Advertising from UT Austin and an MBA from Royal Holloway University of London. “We are so grateful to Juan Carlos for joining the board,” said CGB Director Deirdre Mendez. “His experience in both global business and government relations will be an asset to CGB’s continued expansion, and he has already actively engaged with our mission to prepare students for global leadership roles by serving as a mentor.”
Juan Carlos expressed a deep commitment to service at UT. “I am honored to join the CGB Board of Advisors”, he said. “I come from a long line of Longhorns, starting with my father in the 60s. I look forward to interacting with an impressive group of fellow board members to advance global business acumen and engagement at UT. Hook’Em!”
