CGB Taps Industry Insiders to Prepare Tomorrow’s Global Leaders
To prepare the next generation of global leaders, the Center for Global Business (CGB) leverages the expertise of industry leaders in key fields. Kathrin Zoeller, director of transfer pricing at KraftHeinz, teaches International Accounting and Transfer Pricing to McCombs undergraduates.
Zoeller’s course offers insights into the complex world of multinational finance. Drawing from personal experience, she guides students through the intricacies of transfer pricing, value chain analysis, and international tax regulations. Students gain practical knowledge applicable to careers in international management, finance, accounting, and public policy.
According to Kishore Gawande, chair of McCombs’ business, government, and society department, this course is vital for students going on to careers in financial operations: “ You cannot do business in multinationals without understanding transactions within an organization across countries. Transfer pricing has implications for taxes paid to governments, assessing competition, and making strategic decisions.”
Exposure to real-world challenges is vital to students’ understanding of industry dynamics. CGB is grateful to our professional faculty for supporting our work to expand industry partnerships and ensure that our graduates are ready for leadership roles in global companies.
