IBSA Forges New Connections: Global BBQ and Alumnus Speaker Kick Off New Semester
The International Business Student Association (IBSA) at McCombs kicked off the school year with an international BBQ festival. The event attracted students from across UT who came to experience global cuisines and learn about the organization. The event featured international barbecue dishes including Brazilian, Turkish, Mexican, Japanese, Malaysian, and Chinese specialties.
More than just a culinary adventure, the event helped students connect with peers who share an interest in international business. New and returning students mingled, networked, and discovered IBSA’s mission and activities.
Building on this momentum, IBSA held its first general meeting of the year on September 11, featuring special guest Eric Hines, a recent IB graduate who led IBSA in 2014. Now at PwC, Hines shared insights on bridging the gap between academic involvement and professional success in international business.
The Center for Global Business is proud to support the IBSA and the next generation of international business leaders.
