McCombs Center for Global Business Expands Advisory Board With Global Business Veteran Louis Jean Chartier

The Center for Global Business at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin is pleased to announce that Louis Jean Chartier, a distinguished UT alumnus and seasoned business leader, will join its board of advisors. With more than three decades of experience across the Americas and Europe, Chartier brings valuable knowledge and experience to the board, having worked in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

“We’re thrilled to welcome another trailblazer to our advisory board,” said center director Deirdre Mendez. “Louis Jean Chartier’s experience developing cross-border partnerships and growing businesses in challenging environments will contribute to the center’s mission of fostering global business excellence.”

“The Center for Global Business has a unique vision to engage students, alumni, faculty, and industry who share a passion for international business in creating new opportunities across geographies and cultures,” Chartier said. “As a UT graduate and after working internationally for over 30 years, including many years as an expat in various countries, I am excited to join this team and contribute to the advancement of this critical mission.”

Chartier’s background in fundraising, creating investment platforms, and managing government and media relations promises to enrich international business coursework and support student career outcomes in McCombs’ International Business program.
