McCombs Hall of Fame Welcomes Ray Brimble, Champion of International Business Education
The Center for Global Business (CGB) at McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin (UT), congratulates Ray Brimble, Emeritus Chair of the CGB Board of Advisors, on his induction into the McCombs Hall of Fame this fall.
A visionary entrepreneur and proud UT alumnus (Class of 1974), Ray is the founder and CEO of Lynxs Holdings, LP, and Seed/Pod Holdings LLC. His commitment to his alma mater is evident through his long involvement with McCombs’s Center for Global Business. More recently, he has served on both the Dean’s Advisory Council and President Hartzell’s International Board of Advisors.
Ray and his wife Karen established the Brimble Global Impact Initiative through a major gift to the Center for Global Business, that supports academic programs and global outreach and provides scholarships for experiential learning. His dedication to all aspects of international education reflects his passion for fostering global perspectives among UT students.
“I’m thrilled to see the progress international business has made at UT and the wealth of opportunities now available to students,” Ray remarked. “It’s particularly exciting given Texas’s position as a leader in foreign trade and investment in the United States.”
CGB’s director, Dr. Deirdre Mendez praised Ray’s commitment: “Ray combines philanthropy with activism, contributing his time, connections, and financial resources. His dedication to international education at UT has impacted generations of students.”
