CGB Board Vice Chair Noël Ellison brings two passions and a host of eclectic pastimes to our Board of Advisors.

Noël is a KPMG Partner and a global mobility tax consultant advising corporations and executives in jurisdictions around the world. Noël’s twenty-five years of experience and expertise in navigating the complex landscape of cross-border human capital movement has given her deep insight into how companies think about their people and how to bring maximum benefit to both employees and shareholders. She lived this herself with an early stint in Melbourne, Australia, where she stayed for two years working and surfing… the ocean, not the Internet.

Noël’s commitment to UT, her alma mater, extends beyond organizational guidance; she is equally passionate about nurturing our students and supporting all Longhorns. As a mentor to International Business majors and minors, she shares insights on global consulting and uses her personal experience to inspire and educate, grounded in Texan values but following her passion for the benefits of exposure to a range of cultures — things students can’t learn in the classroom. Several of her proteges have secured positions at KPMG, a testament to her impactful mentorship.

Reflecting on her involvement with UT, Noël says, “Mentoring and learning new things from the students I meet has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. It’s incredibly fulfilling to give back to the university but also understand the insights and preoccupations of the next generation of global business leaders.”

Noël’s spare time is spent as the lead singer of her rock band, Wayward Nebula, and seeking to train her young boxer dog, Kevin, now that her many years of soccer at UT and elsewhere have drawn to a close. She has twin sons in their early 20s who help keep her focused on the concerns of the next generation as well as needing to keep a well-stocked refrigerator.
